Abando destination: Past, present and future around Abando station.

Taking the surroundings of the Abando station as a reference, the event will last from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and the presentations will be from 9:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Later there will be a lunch and a tour around the Abando Station, from 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. The presentations have been structured in 3 different blocks whose common thread is the urban transformation and regeneration project of the Abando Station and its surroundings. The duration of each presentation is approximately 20 minutes.

We have titled the first part “approximation” and there will be 3 more theoretical presentations: the history of the Basque Country railway, the arrival of the TAV in Bilbao and the Abando Station.

We have entitled the second block "Urban regeneration and ..." and there will be 4 presentations linked to urban regeneration from different approaches: preservation of history, the revolution of intermodal stations as a new form of connectivity in cities, eco-urbanism and the impact of coexistence between different neighborhoods.

Finally, the third part has been entitled "Innovative / future projects" and there will be 2 presentations about the Abando Station project and a similar project on urban regeneration and the railway station: “Madrid Nuevo Norte”.
