TEd'A arquitectes

Irene Pérez (Barcelona, 1976) and Jaume Mayol (Mallorca, 1976) study at the ETSA Vallés. Irene and Jaume run the TEd'A arquitectes studio in Mallorca. Their work focuses on the use of local resources, local materials and local typologies.

Both architects combine their professional and academic practice. Both have taught at the University of Stuttgart, at the Fakultät für Architektur TU Graz, and also at the TU Munich. They are currently lecturers at the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf.

Their work has been recently awarded in different prizes, among which the prize in the Spanish Biennial BEAU XV in 2021, and also in the BEAU XIV 2018, they also received the FAD international prize in 2018, as well as the FAD prize for interior design also in 2018, the ECOLA prize 2019 or the Brick award 2020. Last year they were one of the finalists for the Swiss Award 2020.

TEd'A arquitectes mainly work on the island of Mallorca, but they also develop some projects outside the islands, at the moment a school building in Gerona and a church in Belgium stand out.
